145 Degrees. An interesting and visually engaging angle. Perhaps on an ordinary day, a seagull or hummingbird will fly towards a destination in this direction for variety. Somewhat unusual but it still adheres to a 360 degree radius. Which, of course, is a full circle. A wholeness and something absolute. A finite and structured entity.
As an Art Director and Designer I like to explore and experiment within the realm of what is appropriate, ideal and will, ultimately, be a successful solution.
Additionally, 145 degrees suggests a way to abide by brands or client standards while also embellishing and experimenting with them to enable a fresh and intriguing angle.
Art Direction and Design takes strategic thinking, exploration, experimentation and eventually refining of the IDEA. The one that synthesizes the concept that gives a brand a unique identity which cuts through the clutter. That's why I often sit at a 145 degree angle from the primary speaker or presenter.
I believe all this takes a purging of thoughts and sharing of insight. The way to work, at a 145 degree perspective.
